Are you Insured & Bonded?

We understand that many people may be skeptical about letting a “total stranger” have access to their home and all that is most cherished to them while they are away.  At No Place Like Home Pet Sitting, LLC, our goal is to provide an alternative to caged boarding for your 4-legged family members and peace of mind for you in every way.

The Pet Sitters Liability Program provides liability protection specifically for the exposures relating to the Pet Sitting/Dog Walking business: Care, Custody and Control. We do NOT use Independent Contractors and all sitters and walkers are employees of NPLH.

We are fully insured and bonded through Kennel Pro. Proof of Insurance may be verified by calling 1-800-686-2663.

You may rest assured that your pets and home will be cared for with the utmost honesty and attention while in our care!  We have all passed a stringent background check through Acutraq (888-361-7036) and are more than happy to provide proof of a criminal free background upon request.

We are also Pet CPR & First Aid Trained and non-smokers for your added peace of mind. In any emergency situation where we should require the assistance of an outside pet sitter we will only utilize the services of a reputable company who is insured and bonded.

What is a Meet and Greet?
This complimentary visit should ideally be scheduled as early as possible to be sure we are a good fit for one another. The visit usually lasts approximately 30 minutes and will provide time for you to introduce us to your pets, and show us where food, litter boxes and supplies are located. We will go over any alarm or security instructions at this time. This meeting will also give the owner of the business and your pet time to get to know each other and be sure there are no aggression issues. Your client portal should be set up well in advance of this meeting so we have time to review everything and ask questions in person.

How Many Visits Do You Recommend While I Am Away?
Your pet sitting experience can be completely customized to meet you and your pet’s specific needs! For example, you may choose to schedule one (1) visit per day on your day of departure or return, and three (3) visits each day in between.

There is no schedule set in stone, it is entirely up to you, and what you feel would work best for your pet! For the health and safety of your pets, a minimum of 2 standard visits a day for dogs who have free roam (3 visits for crated dogs) and one quick visit a day for cats during a 24-hour period is required, with the exception of your departure and arrival days.

How do I pay for service and when is it due?
We accept, and prefer, all major credit/debit cards and ACH payments. We do not accept cash apps and no longer accept PayPal. Cash is discouraged, as we do not want our staff being held responsible for cash and we do not carry paper receipts. If you prefer to pay by cash, this must be agreed upon in advance. Only the owner can handle cash, so a time will need to be set up in advance for payment to be picked up and handled differently. Credit/debit cards are accepted directly via our online invoice system and NPLH will absorb the fees in order to process payments using this method. This information is safe and encrypted, just like your banking instituion. A credit/debit card is required to be on file for all bookings and will be charged according to the service contract agreement. Holiday reservations and peak times require full payment to hold your spot and we follow a strict cancellation policy. Non-peak times and regular pet sitting reservations do require a 50% deposit to hold your booking and a strict cancellation policy will be enforced. The balance will be charged 48 hours prior to your departure day.
What Are Your Office Hours?

Office hours are: Monday – Friday 8 am to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 2 pm. Sunday the office is closed. Pet sitting hours and office hours operate differently. Please allow 36 hours for a response.

What Is The Approved Method Of Communication?

All communication will be done via your private client portal, which is set up prior to our initial meet and greet. We provide real time GPS tracking (shown on a map) and a time stamp of arrival and departure at each visit; this gives all of our human clients comfort in knowing we are at your home when we say we are, and for the full time we are supposed to be there. We will provide a full update at each visit, along with pictures of your fur babies, so you know exactly how things are going. These updates will automatically be posted in your client portal for easy reference, and will be delivered to you via email and/or text by our software system. All pet sitters and walkers are held to the highest standard when it comes to your home and pets. We only hire staff with previous pet care experience (other than their own pets), vet techs, kennel techs, rescue/foster experience, and vet students.
